Last month, my husband, our dog Anna, and I traveled from Siem Reap to Kampot for our mission by private taxi. Upon seeing the many travel destinations to explore in Kampot province, such as Bokor National Park and the old train, especially the seahorse statue which reminded me of the feeling of visiting The Merlion in Singapore.

During the weekend in Kampot, we escaped from work and decided to spend our first weekend visiting Bokor National Park. With the mountain view of Bokor Mountain and the forest view along the way, we were able to release the work stress that had overwhelmed us during the week and enjoyed the moment together. There's an old hotel on the top of the mountain, which has a French design and a history of over 100 years. We had lunch at the restaurant on the mountain top, visited SOMPHOV Pagoda, and returned home in the evening.

Every evening, my husband and I walked along the seaside and enjoyed the sunset view at the seahorse statue. We also enjoyed walking around the city and visiting the beach to relieve stress. The old railway in Kampot was impressive with its mountain and lake views, considered one of the best spots for taking photos.

We also tried Kampot's durians from our neighbors in the village, which had a great taste and a deep smell. Moreover, the Kampot market offered lots of fresh seafood at very affordable prices. There's also a Khmer noodle stand at the Durian roundabout, offering the original taste of Kampot Khmer noodles. It allowed us to explore another taste of food in this wonderful country, Cambodia.

Kampot did not disappoint us despite the 8-hour journey from Siem Reap to our house. We used the Taptaxi service, which is private and very convenient. They greeted us with the best attitude and drove us to Kampot safely. I've used the service twice; the first time was from Siem Reap Angkor Airport to Siem Reap town. Their team was helpful with fast responses, and the drivers were very polite and easy-going, with a great attitude that didn't annoy us during the ride. I am likely to recommend the TapApp taxi service as one of the excellent private taxi services in Cambodia, and I'm going to use their service again! BOOK YOUR TAXI
