What will we see along the way from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap?

Phnom Penh is the city of Cambodia where lots of people live in, big buildings, traffic jams, and lots of bus station. Whereas Siem Reap is one of the provinces in Cambodia that known as tourism province because of its rich culture, ancient temple (Angkor Wat, Bayong Temple) and nature places.

How can I get from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap? Well, you can take a flight, a bus, a moto, a car, a taxi like Tap Taxi. If we travel by road from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, it will take us about 6 to 7 hours with 318km (about 197.6 mi) via national road 6.

What will we see along the way from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap? From Phnom Penh to Siem Reap it will cross the 3 provinces (Kompong Cham, Kompong Thom, Siem Reap). If we travel about 75 kilometers (about 46.6 mi) from Phnom Penh, there is a place named Skun known as the spider market or skun market where many taxi services take a stop for 15 to 30 minutes to get something to eat or take a break from travel too far.

If we go further around 102 kilometers (about 63.38 mi) we will arrive at Kompong Thom province capital. Kompong Thom province is such a small province in Cambodia where population has less than Siem Reap. Kompong Thom province is famous for Prasat Sambor Prei Kuk. Prasat Sambor Prei Kuk is an archaeological site in Cambodia located in Kampong Thom Province, 30 km (about 18.64 mi) north of Kampong Thom, the provincial capital, 176 km (about 109.36 mi) east of Angkor and 206 km (about 128 mi) north of Phnom Penh.

About 167km (103.77 mi) further from Kompong Thom will we see new airport which located in Siem Reap province. Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport is an international airport in Sour Nikom District, Siem Reap province and it was built to replace Siem Reap International Airport.

If we go away from the Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport about 27km (about 16.78 mi) we will arrive in Siem Reap province where is lively crowded place, school, hospital, and Royal Residence.
